Cassini suffers brief glitch after Iapetus flyby

Shortly after its recent flyby of Saturn’s moon Iapetus, the Cassini probe temporarily went into safe mode. The spacecraft is operating normally again and its instruments are expected to return to normal operations in a few days.

Update: Avanti books Falcon 9 launch for HYLAS

Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX) confirmed that it has signed a contract with UK-based Avanti Communications Group for the launch of Avanti’s HYLAS Ka-band satellite to geostationary transfer orbit (GTO) on board a SpaceX Falcon 9.
