The US$34 million TSIS solar instrument package to be built by the University of Colorado at Boulder, considered a crucial tool to help monitor global climate change, has been restored to the first NPOESS mission slated for launch in 2013.

Thales Alenia Space to build Koreasat 6 and possibly new Nilesat

Thales Alenia Space announced that it has signed a contract with Korea Telecom (KT) to provide their next telecommunication satellite, Koreasat 6. Separately, Thales Alenia Space is reported to have been selected as prime contractor for a new Nilesat spacecraft.
