NSR: Consumer satellite broadband to overtake broadband VSAT

NSR LLC released findings from its latest report, “Broadband Satellite Markets, 7th Edition,” that indicate revenues from consumer satellite broadband services will overtake enterprise class broadband VSAT network services by 2013.

AEHF Flight 3 core propulsion module delivered

The core propulsion module of the third Advanced Extremely High Frequency satellite was recently shipped from Lockheed Martin at Stennis Space Center, Mississippi, and arrived safely at Lockheed Martin Space Systems in Sunnyvale, California.

Northrop Grumman completes LCROSS thermal vacuum testing

Satmex signs agreement with SS/L for Satmex 7

Satelites Mexicanos S.A.B. de C.V. (Satmex) announced that it has issued an Authorisation To Proceed (ATP) with the construction of Satmex 7 to Space Systems/Loral (SS/L). The new satellite will provide Fixed Satellite Services (FSS) in the Americas.

Delay of the day: Falcon 1, Trailblazer

Ariane rocket for 4 July launch delivered

Arianespace said it remains on track for its planned seven Ariane 5 launches in 2008, with three of the missions already performed. The upcoming mission with ProtoStar I and Badr-6 is timed just three weeks after Arianespace’s most recent flight, when an Ariane 5 ECA lofted Skynet 5C and Turksat 3A.
