Eutelsat Hot Bird 9, W2M pre-launch details

The Hotbird 9 and W2M satellites of Eutelsat Communications are on track for launch on 20 December on an Ariane 5 ECA rocket from the Kourou Space Centre in French Guiana.

NPP Mission Operations Readiness review completed

A comprehensive Mission Operations Readiness (MOR) review of the National Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System (NPOESS) Preparatory Project (NPP) was successfully completed last month, NASA said in a statement.

Siberian shepherd sues Russian space agency

Boris Urmatov, a shepherd in the Republic of Altai (southwest Siberia), is taking legal action against Roskosmos after a rocket fragment fell on his land, according to a local administration official.

SpaceDev acquired by Sierra Nevada Corporation
