Next shuttle to lift off on 25 August

NASA has completed a two-day review of space shuttle Discovery’s readiness for flight and selected 25 August as the official launch date for the STS-128 mission to the International Space Station. Lift-off is scheduled for 0536 UTC from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Delay of the day: KSLV-1/STSAT-2

South Korea today aborted its first domestic launch of a rocket eight minutes before scheduled lift-off because of a technical problem.

ESA, Roskosmos sign Mars deal

ESA has signed a deal with its Russian counterpart Roskosmos to co-operate on two Mars exploration projects, Interfax news agency reported.

Dish Or Cable – For Me the Choice Was Clear, Literally

Why I ditched cable TV in favor of Dish Network Satellite TV and have not looked back. I often wondered if I would ever escape from them. I moved a couple of times and sure enough, they were always there waiting for me when I arrived at my new address. They were everywhere, their black wires adorning the endless miles of telephone poles like a snake that consumed one thing and one thing only: Money.
