Sea Launch hopes to resume operations by year-end

Sea Launch will reportedly launch Intelsat-15 aboard a Zenit-3SLB from Baikonur by the end of the year.

SBSS launch delayed again

The inaugural launch of Orbital Sciences’ Minotaur IV will not take place on 31 October (UTC) as planned because of problems with the launcher, the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center said.

Dutch Space orders more Ariane 5 engine frames from Stork

Stork Fokker has signed an important contract in relation to the Ariane 5 program. Dutch Space (part of EADS Astrium) has again selected the company to produce engine frames for at least 35 Ariane 5 launchers.

Thaicom mulls buying in-orbit replacement for satellite oldies

Thaicom plans to buy an in-orbit satellite to replace the company’s Thaicom 1 and Thaicom 2 spacecraft, The Nation reported.

ABS, GTSS in multi-transponder deal

GT Satellite Systems S.A. (GTSS) and Asia Broadcast Satellite (ABS) announced that they have signed a long term, multiple transponder deal which would provide GTSS with expansion capacity on the new ABS-2 satellite scheduled to be launched in 2012.
