Pitfalls of Online TV

Despite Online TV gaining popularity and becoming more easily available, there are some pitfalls when considering watching shows online. So I don’t mislead you, I must make it clear that I do enjoy Online TV quite often and have a strong opinion that the benefits out weight the pitfalls by a wide margin. But as a reviewer, I must present an unbiased opinion for readers to base their decisions off of. Thus, I must point out these drawbacks.

Third ‘digital’ Progress vessel launched

Rocket: Soyuz U; Payload: Progress M-03M (Progress P35); Date: 15 October 2009, 1056 UTC; Site: Baikonur, Kazakhstan. The vessel was placed into its targeted preliminary orbit approx. nine minutes after lift-off.

Sea Launch likely to resume launches in November

The launch of Intelsat 15 aboard a Sea Launch Zenit 3-SLB from Baikonur is currently scheduled for 29 November, according to a documents Intelsat filed with the U.S. Federal Communications Commission.

Third WGS satellite shipped

Boeing announced that the third Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) satellite built for the U.S. Air Force was shipped on 28 September to Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, where it will be tested and prepared for a November launch.

NASA Selects Jazz Semiconductor and ADSANTEC for LADEE

Jazz Semiconductor, a Tower Group company, and ADSANTEC, a fabless [i.e. without own fabrication facilities] design house, announced their SERDES [Serialiser/Deserialiser] solution has been selected by NASA for its Lunar Atmosphere Dust Environment Explorer (LADEE) mission.

SSC and CNES to share two new antennas

The Swedish Space Corporation (SSC) and the French Space agency (CNES) have become partners by signing a contract on acquiring and owning two new 13 meter full-motion antennas for satellite operations together.

SS/Loral to name Patrick DeWitt chairman of the board

Space Systems/Loral (SS/L) announced that Patrick DeWitt will be appointed to the SS/L Board of Directors as its Chairman and will relinquish his duties as Chief Executive Officer at the end of the year.
