GLONASS launches in December, January – report

Rosetta to visit Earth for the last time

ESA’s Rosetta comet chaser will swing by Earth on 13 November to pick up orbital energy and begin the final leg of its 10-year journey to the outer Solar System. Several observations of the Earth-Moon system are planned before the spacecraft heads out to study comet 67/P Churyumov-Gerasimenko.

The Battle is Over – Blu Ray is Now the Victor in the High Definition DVD Format War

Format wars are always an ugly affair, and the battle between Blu Ray and HD-DVD was no exception. Now with the news that Blockbuster will no longer be carrying HD-DVD’s, it appears that Sony is the dominant victor.
