News of the deal set-off a firestorm of controversy from public interest groups, competitors, and Internet Access Providers alike, all concerned over the potential abuses such a merger could unleash on Broadband stakeholders and their ability to access, and compete in what is perceived as a Free Internet World.

Thales Alenia Space says it met its objectives for 2009

Thales Alenia Space said it won contracts for seven communications satellites and three satcom payloads in 2009, along with two observation satellites, nine pressurised modules for the International Space Station, and two experimental atmospheric re-entry vehicles.

Integral Systems helps NASA modernise space network

Integral Systems, Inc., announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary RT Logic has been awarded a contract by Honeywell Technologies Solutions Inc. (HTSI) to supply narrowband and wideband modems for NASA’s Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System (TDRSS) User Services Subsystem Replacement (USSR) programme.
