Falcon 9 test firing aborted, next try expected in a few days

Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) aborted a test firing of its Falcon 9 rocket at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on 9 March.

China’s new launch site to open later than expected

China’s fourth space centre, Wenchang on the northeast coast of the tropical island province of Hainan, will be put into service between 2014 and 2015 – up to two years later that previously planned.

Two from Toulouse

Two satellites have left the Astrium facilities in Toulouse and are on their way to French Guyana. Launch of Arabsat 5A and COMS-1 aboard an Ariane 5 ECA from there is scheduled for the end of April.
