Saft to power Atlas V and Delta IV

United Launch Alliance (ULA) recently awarded Saft a multi-million dollar contract to develop lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries for its Atlas V and Delta IV launch vehicles.

Intelsat 17, HYLAS 1 reportedly healthy after launch

Software error prveneted Hayabusa firing bullet

Japan’s Hayabusa probe, which landed on asteroid Itokawa in 2005, failed to fire a metallic bullet to collect debris. The glitch was now traced back to a software error.

RSC Energia to build space debris collector?

Russia’s Rocket and Space Corporation Energia plans to build an “orbital pod” designed for sweeping up satellite debris from space, Roskosmos confirmed on its Facebook page.
