Third-stage engine for GLONASS launch tested

A new RD-0124 rocket engine was successfully tested at the Chemical Automatics Design Bureau in Voronezh, Russia.

Nigeriasat-2 pre-launch details

NigeriaSat-2 has successfully completed pre-launch tests and has been integrated with a Dnepr launch vehicle. The satellite will lift-off from Yasny in southern Russia on 17 August, together with NigeriaSat-X, which was built under a training and development programme.

STP to launch NRL space science and technology experiments

The U.S. Naval Research Laboratory and the Department of Defense Space Test Program (STP) in May finalised a Memorandum of Agreement to integrate and launch science and technology experiments to the International Space Station (ISS) by 2013.
