CZ 2C second stage malfunction confirmed

The failure of a Chang Zheng 2C rocket on 18 August was caused by a second stage malfunction, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) confirmed.

First MUOS satellite completes thermovac tests

Lockheed Martin has successfully completed thermal vacuum testing of the U.S. Navy’s first Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) satellite.

ViaSat ground based beam forming for MEXSAT

ViaSat Inc. has been awarded contracts valued at approximately US$40 million by Boeing to develop a ground based beam forming (GBBF) system for the Mexican Satellite System (MEXSAT).

New Globalstar satellites go live

Globalstar, Inc. announced that it has started processing commercial mobile satellite telephone calls for customers throughout the United States, Canada, Northern Mexico, Puerto Rico and the surrounding regions using its new second-generation satellites.
