Delay of the day: Atlas V/MUOS-1

The launch of an Atlas V carrying the United States Navy’s Mobile User Objective System-1 (MUOS-1) satellite was scrubbed yesterday and again today due to weather conditions.

Astrium’s Swarm satellite fleet successfully tested, ready for launch

Mars Express returns to full science operations

Following a permanent anomaly affecting the onboard solid-state mass memory system on Mars Express, efforts to implement a work-around are almost complete. Full science operations have been resumed and the potential mission lifetime remains unaltered.

NASA Landsat’s Thermal Infrared Sensor arrives at Orbital

The Thermal Infrared Sensor (TIRS) has arrived at Orbital Sciences Corp. in Gilbert, Arizona. There it will be integrated into the next Landsat satellite, the Landsat Data Continuity Mission (LDCM).
