First flight instrument delivered for James Webb Space Telescope

The first of four instruments to fly aboard NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope (Webb) has been delivered to NASA. The Mid-Infrared Instrument (MIRI) will allow scientists to study cold and distant objects in greater detail than ever before.

Raytheon to link Navy Multiband Terminal to U.S. Air Force’s Polar Satellite

Raytheon Company has received a US$19 million contract to modify the Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT) to link it with the U.S. Air Force’s Enhanced Polar Satellite (EPS). The link will allow U.S. Navy and Air Force to overcome communications gaps in the remote polar region.
