Satellite with many names launched by China

Rocket: Chang Zheng 3B/E; Payload: ChinaSat 12 [Zhongxing 12, ZX 12, APSTAR 7B, SupremeSat 1]; Date: 27 November 2012, 1013 UTC; Launch site: Xichang Satellite Launch Center, China. The satellite was successfully placed into geostationary transfer orbit.

Delay of the day: Sea Launch postpones Eutelsat 70B launch

The Sea Launch consortium has moved the date for the launch of its Zenit-3SL rocket carrying the Eutelsat-70B satellite 24 hours due to the delayed arrival of the Odyssey platform to the launch site.

GeoEye and JSI support Japanese Government with EyeQ

GeoEye, Inc. has partnered with the Japan Space Imaging Corporation (JSI), a Mitsubishi Corporation subsidiary, to provide a major Japanese ministry with access to comprehensive high-resolution satellite imagery of all of Japan through GeoEye’s EyeQ platform.

SES to provide broadband services for Burkina Faso parliamentary elections

Astrium to provide military X-band satcoms to six UK Royal Navy vessels
