Russia may sell rocket engines to China

Russia may sign a rocket engine delivery agreement with China during Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev’s visit in mid-December, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin was quoted as saying.

Orbital ATK ships Cygnus service module to KSC

Orbital ATK, Inc. announced it has shipped the Cygnus spacecraft’s service module to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center for the next International Space Station (ISS) cargo mission, scheduled to launch on 3 December.

Koreasat 5A, 7 with largest 3D printed parts ever made in Europe

The Koreasat 5A and Koreasat 7 telecommunications satellites currently under construction by Thales Alenia Space will include the largest spacecraft parts ever made in Europe using a 3D printing technique called the “powder bed additive manufacturing process.”

IAI develops all-electric satellite

MOOnitor selects Globalstar’s infrastructure and chipset for cattle collar

Globalstar Europe Satellite Services Ltd. announced that it is supplying its STX3 chipset for integration into an upcoming cattle monitoring solution. MOOnitor, which will go into production in 2016, uses neck-mounted collars to measure cattle activity and convert it to herd management information, allowing ranchers to quickly react to developing situations and events.
