Sentinel-1B pre-launch details

The Sentinel-1B satellite, designed and built by Thales Alenia Space is ready to be launched on 22 April from the Guiana Space Center in Kourou, French Guiana, by a Soyuz-Fregat A rocket. This satellite is part of the European Commission’s vast Copernicus Earth observation programme, coordinated by the European Commission, with the European Space Agency (ESA) in charge of the space segment.

ExoMars in excellent health

The ESA-Roskosmos ExoMars spacecraft are in excellent health following launch last month, with the orbiter sending back its first test image of a starry view taken en route to the Red Planet.

SSC introduces new ground operations approach

SSC has unveiled SSC Infinity, a new ground operations service that offers customers full flexibility for small satellites and constellations. The new endeavour aims to lower costs while providing reliability to the SmallSat and CubeSat market. SSC has begun installing new small aperture antennas as part of its Universal Space Network expansion.

Arianespace breaks even as turnover slightly increases

Arianespace posted a 2015 turnover of EUR1.433 billion, an increase of 2.4% over the previous record of EUR1.399 billion in 2014.

Howard L. Lance named President and Chief Executive Officer of MDA

MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Howard L. Lance as President and Chief Executive Officer of MDA, effective 16 May 2016. The Board expects to appoint Mr. Lance to the MDA Board of Directors shortly after he joins the Company.
