Khrunichev says Angara can take 60% of world launches

Russia’s Angara rockets in the near future will be able to take about 60% of the launch services world market, as the Proton-M had at its time, Alexander Medvedev, general designer of launch vehicles at the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center, the manufacturer of Proton and Angara, was quoted as saying.

Inmarsat S-band payload completed

SSL to provide robotic arms to DARPA for satellite servicing

Space Systems Loral (SSL) has received US$20.7 million from the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to design and build robotic arm flight hardware for the first phase of the agency’s Robotic Servicing of Geosynchronous Satellites (RSGS) programme.

EC approves acquisition of Arianespace by ASL

Following an in-depth review, the European Commission has approved under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of Arianespace by Airbus Safran Launchers (ASL), a joint venture between Airbus and Safran. This approval is subject to conditions.
