Iridium and Boeing restructure relationship

Iridium Communications Inc. announced the restructuring of its longstanding operations and maintenance relationship with Boeing. Under the agreement, Iridium is expected to hire the majority of the Boeing team that currently supports Iridium by performing operations and maintenance on Iridium’s satellites, beginning on 3 January 2017.

Soyuz U, Progress MS-04 admitted for roll out

The representatives of the Technical Management and State Commission at Baikonur cosmodrome issued a decision on readiness of the Rocket and Space Complex (RSC) consisting of new-series logistics vehicle Progress MS-04 and Soyuz-U launch vehicle for their roll out and erection on the launch pad.

OA-5 mission successfully completed

Orbital ATK announced it successfully completed its sixth cargo delivery mission to the International Space Station for NASA. Known as OA-5, the mission marked the company’s return to flight operations from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Wallops Island, Virginia and the second time Cygnus has been used as a platform for conducting research in space.
