Vega cleared to lift off on 2 August

The 10th Vega mission from French Guiana has been authorised for lift-off following completion of its launch readiness review. The mission, designated VV10 in Arianespace’s numbering system, will mark Arianespace’s eighth mission in 2017, and is the company’s second this year using a Vega launcher.

Iridium announces third Iridium NEXT launch date

Arabsat selects Kratos’ Compass network management solution

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. announced that the Arab Satellite Communications Organisation (Arabsat) has selected Compass, Kratos’ end-to-end network management product, to support its expanding satellite fleet ground operations.

Soyuz transport vessel launched

Rocket: Soyuz FG; Payload: Soyuz MS-05; Date: 28 July 2017, 1541 UTC; Launch site: Baikonur, Kazakhstan. The Soyuz MS-05 manned transport spacecraft was placed on the target orbit for another mission to the International Space Station, where it arrived approx. six hours later.

DigitalGlobe shareowners approve merger with MDA
