JAXA sets launch date for H-IIA Flight 37

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) announced the launch schedule for Global Changing Observation Mission – Climate “SHIKISAI” (GCOM-C) and Super Low Altitude Test Satellite “TSUBAME” (SLATS) by H-IIA launch vehicle No. 37.

NanoRacks deploys 2nd Kaber-class microsatellite

NanoRacks said it successfully deployed NovaWurks’ SIMPL satellite via the company’s Kaber Microsatellite Deployer (KABER) from the International Space Station (ISS). This is the second Kaber-class deployment that NanoRacks completed this week.

Sunshield deployment and layers fully tensioned on JWST

Northrop Grumman Corporation, which designed NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope’s (JWST) optics, spacecraft bus, and sunshield for NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, has deployed the sunshield subsystem and fully tensioned the five sunshield layers for the first time.
