[UPDATED] Ariane 5 launch turns out well despite telemetry glitch

Rocket: Ariane 5 ECA; Payload: SES-14, Al Yah 3, Date: 25 January 2018, 2220 UTC; Launch site: Kourou, French Guyana. Arianespace confirmed that there had been an anomaly during flight, and the status of the satellites was unknown for some time. However, contact has been established with them. It turned out that it was really just a telemetry outage.

Confusion over botched Ariane 5 launch

China launches remote sensing satellites

Rocket: Chang Zheng 2C; Payload: three Yaogan-30 satellites, NanoSat 1A satellite; Date: 25 January 2018, 0539 UTC. The satellites have successfully entered their preset orbit.

SSTL joins Viasat’s real time Earth network

Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL) and Viasat have marked the start of operations of the new Viasat antenna system installed at SSTL’s Guildford headquarters with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
