Ariane 5 launches with improved upper stage

Rocket: Ariane 5 ECA; Payload: Intelsat 39, EDRS-C; Date: 6. August 2019, 1930 UTC; Launch site: Kourou, French Guiana. The total performance required of the launcher was 10,661 kg, with the two satellites accounting for 9,786 kg. The payloads were injected into an optimised orbit inclined 4.5 degrees to the equator.

Proton launches final Blagovest milcomsat

Rocket: Proton-M/Briz-M; Payload: Blagovest No. 14L [Kosmos-2539]; Date: 5 August 2019, 2156 UTC; Launch site: Baikonur, Kazakhstan. The Defense Ministry reported that stable telemetry communication has been established with the spacecraft. Its systems are operating as normal.

Spaceflight purchases, fully manifests first commercial SSLV mission

Spacefligh announced it has purchased the first commercial launch of the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV) from NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) scheduled for launch from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, India later this year.

Cygnus spacecraft departs International Space Station

Northrop Grumman Corporation announced that its Cygnus spacecraft has successfully unberthed and departed from the International Space Station (ISS), beginning its secondary mission before it reenters Earth’s atmosphere. The NG-11 Cygnus spacecraft left the ISS after a 109 day stay at the station.
