Kongsberg to provide equipment for Thuraya 4-NGS

Kongsberg has been awarded a contract for signal processing equipment that provides improved mobile coverage in areas with insufficient ground network. The equipment is to be integrated in Airbus Defence and Space’s new mobile communication satellite, Thuraya 4-NGS.

Isotropic Systems, SES GS to trail multi-beam antenna for USAF

SES Government Solutions (SES GS), a fully-owned affiliate of SES, and Isotropic Systems, a developer of transformational broadband terminal technologies, has announced a two-phased antenna evaluation contract with the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory, working in close collaboration with the U.S. Army Research Engineering Team, for tests of Isotropic Systems’ multi-beam terminal over SES’s O3b Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) constellation.

SES will be medium Earth orbit satellite partner for Microsoft Azure

SES has announced plans to significantly advance its digital transformation across its enterprise, operations and development of new services for the cloud-scale era. As a cornerstone of the strategy, SES signed a multi-year agreement with Microsoft to be an Azure Orbital partner as well as to accelerate and expand the use of Microsoft Azure across its operations and jointly develop cloud-based video and data connectivity managed services.

NovelSat, Spacecom exhibit world’s highest spectral efficiency

Satcom phased array prototype successfully completes transmit test

Lockheed Martin and Ball Aerospace successfully completed a phased array transmit test for a Multi-Band, Multi-Mission (MBMM) antenna. MBMM helps enable multiple satellites to simultaneously connect with a single-phased array antenna system using multiple frequencies.
