It’s changing in the big sky

Predictions regarding the amount and longevity of debris created by the collision of Kosmos 2251 and Iridium 33 get grimmer almost by the hour. In related news, it has been reported that Iridium and its subcontractor Boeing (who technically operates the satellites) in the past never acted upon collision warnings.

Progress M-66 docks with International Space Station

Lockheed/Northrop team advances SpaceWire technology for TSAT

A Lockheed Martin /Northrop Grumman team has achieved a key design milestone for a high-performance technology solution that will dramatically increase data transfer speeds in the U.S. Air Force’s Transformational Satellite Communications System (TSAT) constellation, Lockheed Martin said.

China, France plan to launch first joint oceanic satellite in 2018
