Unete orders LinkStar terminals from ViaSat

ViaSat Inc. will supply its LinkStar DVB-S2 satellite networking system to Unete Telecomunicaciones S.A. (Bolivia) to expand its enterprise broadband services in Ecuador and the surrounding region.

Hughes to supply more terminals for Enciclomedia programme

Hughes Network Systems announced the next phase of its contract with Enlaces Integra and Globalstar de Mexico to deliver an additional 10,860 broadband satellite terminals for the Mexican Ministry of Education’s Enciclomedia programme.

ETSI approves IPoS.v2

Hughes Network Systems, LLC announced that the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) has approved the Internet Protocol over Satellite.v2 (IPoS.v2) air interface standard, which incorporates the DVB-S2 industry standard with ACM (Adaptive Coding and Modulation).

Hybrid Internet services planned for rural Canada

Integral’s EPOCH to control 11th EchoStar satellite
