GeoEye cameras delivered but launch delayed

GeoEye announced the delivery of the camera for its next-generation commercial imaging satellite to General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems in Gilbert, Arizona for integration into the satellite.

Columbus passes flight readiness review

Indian space capsule successfully recovered

The Space capsule Recovery Experiment (SRE-1) launched by Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C7) from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota on 10 January 2007 was successfully recovered on 22 January after being manoeuvred to re-enter the Earth’s atmosphere and descend over Bay of Bengal about 140 km East of Sriharikota.

Business as usual: Angara further delayed

In 2005, the first flight of Russia’s new Angara rocket was announced to take place by the end of 2007. Now it’s expected no earlier than 2010, according to the commander of the Russian Space Forces.

Russia to close Svobodny

Anomaly I: Falcon 1 launch pushed back to February

SpaceX said that during final check-outs prior to a static firing of its Falcon 1 rocket, an anomaly with the thrust vector control (TVC) pitch actuator on the second stage was discovered.
