MDA books two advanced technology contracts

MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. said that its Montreal operation has received two advanced technology contracts from EADS Astrium, at a combined value of approximately C$13.2 million (EUR8.6 million, US$11.2 million).

COROT enters fine-pointing mode

One month after successful launch, and about two weeks after the release of the first image of the sky, the COROT satellite successfully entered in ‘fine pointing’ mode.

Globalstar satellites have problem with degrading amplifiers

Globalstar said that almost none of its satellites currently in orbit will be able to support two-way communications services by 2008 if certain of its amplifiers continue to degrade at their current rate.
