Northrop turns to IAI for spy satellites

Northrop Grumman Corporation and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI, formerly Israel Aircraft Industries) have teamed to build and launch operational surveillance satellites in a responsive production cycle to provide U.S. government users with all-weather, day/night imaging capabilities.

China launches second ocean-watching satellite

Rocket: Chang Zheng 2C; Payload: Haiyang-1B; Date: 11 April 2007, 0327 UTC; Launch Site: Taiyuan Satellite Launch Centre, China. The country’s second oceanic survey satellite entered its preset orbit a few minutes after lift-off.
