China’s recently launched Beidou M1 navigation satellite has arrived at its medium Earth orbit, Xinhua reported citing the Xi’an Satellite Control Center.

STPSat-1 checked out in orbit

AeroAstro announced that STPSat-1 successfully completed Normal Operations Readiness Review (NORR), conducted on 28 March at the Space Development and Test Wing (SDTW) at Kirtland Air Force Base.

NASA buys abort test boosters for Orion flight tests

NASA has entered into an agreement with the U.S. Air Force to support abort flight test requirements for the Orion Project. The Air Force has contracted with Orbital Sciences Corp. to provide launch services for the flight tests.

Launch of Genesis II further delayed

Bigelow Aerospace said it has been informed by its launch services provider, ISC Kosmotras (”ISCK”), that the launch of the Genesis II spacecraft aboard a Dnepr will be delayed by as much as four weeks.

Dnepr return to flight with cluster launch

Rocket: Dnepr; Payload: 14 satellites; Date: 17 April 2007, 0646 UTC; Launch Site: Baikonur, Kazakhstan. The rocket successfully deployed the satellites into a 640 km Sun-synchronous orbit.
