Bids were due today for Satelites Mexicanos, and the winner could be announced next week — if there is one, that is.

TerreStar Networks Inc., a majority owned subsidiary of Motient Corporation (MNCP), announced that they have been notified by Space Systems/Loral (SS/L) that delivery of its satellite, TerreStar-1, is expected to be August 2008.

Launch service provider Starsem confirmed that the Fregat upper stage accurately injected the four satellite dispenser into the targeted circular low Earth orbit of 920 km x 52 degrees at 2218 UTC.
