Two COM DEV contracts just got bigger

COM DEV International Ltd., Canada, announced that it has been awarded a follow-on civil space contract valued at C$39 million (EUR25.8 million, US$35.1 million). In addition, the value of a previously announced US military contract has increased owing to an amendment initiated by the customer.

Astra 1L, Galaxy 17 pre-launch details

For its second launch of the year Arianespace will boost two communications satellites into orbit: Astra 1L for SES Astra, and Galaxy 17 for the Intelsat. The launch widow extends from 2229 to 2319 UTC on 3 May 2007. The targeted injection orbit is 250 km x 35,952 km x 6 degrees.

The return of the Delta IV — the sequel

The U.S. Air Force is trying to persuade Boeing to offer commercial Delta IV launches again, the Wall Street Journal reported. The move is to help fill gaps among future government launches, the Journal cited unnamed Pentagon and industry officials.
