EU members split over Galileo funding — report

EU transport ministers meeting next Thursday are expected to back in principle a proposal by the European Commission to use public funds to complete the construction of the Galileo satellite navigation system. But it is now emerging that EU countries disagree on how to fund the project.

Ball Aerospace to complete Kepler optics soon

Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. has successfully completed the critical milestone of bonding the Schmidt Corrector optic to its mounting ring for the Kepler Mission. Ball anticipates delivery of all Kepler optics by late-June.
