Energia Overseas Limited assumes DIP financing for Sea Launch

Sea Launch said it has accepted the terms of agreement for debtor-in-possession (DIP) financing from Energia Overseas Limited (“EOL”). As a result of the court-approved agreement, EOL will replace Sea Launch’s existing DIP lender, Space Launch Services (SLS).

Galaxy 15 turns into special zombie satellite

Intelsat’s Galaxy 15, which on 5 April stopped responding to commands, has started drifting eastward. Satellite operators have over the past few years become accustomed to such incidences, in which geostationary satellites fail and start drifting. However, this case is slightly different as Galaxy 15’s transponders still work.
