DirecTV is the giant of Satellite TV business where as Verizon FiOS TV is a new comer into the cable TV business but is quite a big name in the telecom industry. Due to the increase in competition DirecTV fights to remain number one in the satellite TV business while the newcomer Verizon moves it pawns towards grabbing the market share with its FiOS TV package.
