Thales Alenia Space signs contract for EGNOS services

Thales Alenia Space announced the signature of a contract with Telespazio worth more than EUR120 million, within the scope of a contract for the supply of EGNOS services (European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service), signed by ESSP (European Satellite Services Provider) and Telespazio in July 2013.

MHI receives order to launch Telstar 12V on H-IIA

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) has received an order from Telesat to provide launch services for Telesat’s new Telstar 12 VANTAGE (Telstar 12V) satellite. The launch is scheduled to take place in late 2015 and marks the first time MHI has received an order to launch a commercial satellite.

Proton M/Astra 2E integrated launch vehicle rolled out to launch pad

Following the State Review Board’s decision, the roll out of the Proton M/Astra 2E integrated launch vehicle took place on 26 September. The launcher was erected on its launch pad.

The crewed Soyuz TMA-10 vessel has docked with the ISS as planned. Approach to the International Space Station (ISS), its fly-around, stationkeeping and docking were performed normally, in automatic mode.

China launches new rocket

Government & military satcom market to grow despite short-term turbulence
