MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of Space Systems/Loral, Inc. (SS/L) for US$875 million in a transaction that is immediately accretive.

The U.S. National Geospatial Agency informed GeoEye that due to limited government funding, it will not exercise the full year Enhanced View Service Level Agreement option with the company for the contract year 1 September 2012 through 31 August 2013. The NGA also proposed changing cost sharing agreements for the GeoEye-2 satellite.
