Virgin Galactic gets petrodollars from Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi’s Aabar Investments and Virgin Group announced that they have agreed to enter a strategic partnership, which will see Aabar take an equity stake in the commercial spaceline Virgin Galactic. More important in the context of this newsletter: Virgin Galactic may also launch satellites.

Telesat completes transfer of its interests in Telstar 10

Telesat Canada and APT Satellite Company Limited, Hong Kong, announced that they have closed a transaction pursuant to which Telesat has transferred its leasehold interests in Telstar 10 ( also known as Apstar IIR) to APT, along with certain customer contracts related to the satellite.
