Orbcomm’s subscriber base grew 56 percent last year

Sirius exceeds 8.3 million subscribers

Sirius Satellite Radio said it ended 2007 with 8,321,785 subscribers, up from the company’s 2006 ending subscriber base of 6,024,555. During 2007, Sirius added approximately 2.3 million net subscriber additions.

Spacehab regains NASDAQ compliance

Salah Idris pumps more money into WorldSpace

WorldSpace Satellite Radio said it has secured a financing facility for up to US$40 million of subordinated financing effective immediately, from Yenura Pte. Ltd., a company controlled by Noah Samara, chairman and CEO of WorldSpace–but financed by somebody else.

Globalstar buys Brazilian gateways

Globalstar, Inc. has signed an agreement with Loral Space & Communications Inc. and various affiliated entities to purchase the Brazilian Globalstar independent gateway operator, which owns and operates three satellite gateway ground stations in Brazil.

EchoStar spin-off effective 1 January

China merges satellite operators into single company

Inmarsat, MSV to co-operate on North American L-band operations
