Xplornet announces agreement for Hughes JUPITER 3 satellite

Canadian rural broadband service provider Xplornet Communications Inc. has entered into a lifetime agreement with Hughes Network Systems, LLC (Hughes), for substantially all of Canadian satellite broadband capacity on Hughes’ next-generation JUPITER 3 (aka EchoStar XXIV) Ultra High Density Satellite.

Iridium awarded gateway support and maintenance contract by U.S. DoD

C-COM successfully tracks Kepler LEO satellites

C-COM Satellite Systems Inc. announced its first successful integration with Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite tracking capabilities. The test was completed with the C-COM iNetVu FLY-981 Ku-band antenna and with Kepler Communications’ first in orbit LEO satellites, KIPP and CASE.

iForte of Indonesia signs contracts for capacity on Telstar 18 VANTAGE

LM develops world-first LTE-over-satellite system

Lockheed Martin said it has developed a new LTE-over-Satellite system designed to provide connectivity to remote regions, including areas without cellphone coverage, boats off-shore, or during natural disasters like hurricanes, wildfires, earthquakes, catastrophic floods or volcanoes. New hotspots connect existing phones to satellites for reliable 4G connections.
