Eutelsat to relocate, rename Hotbird 3

Eutelsat Communications announced that its Hotbird 3 satellite, launched in 1997, will shortly be redeployed at the 10 degrees East location. Due to complete its mission at 13 degrees East on entry into service of Hotbird 8 on 3 October, Hotbird 3 is scheduled to initiate its new mission later this month at 10 degrees East where it will be rebranded Eurobird 10.

ARTEL announces new DSTS-G contracts

ARTEL, Inc., a provider of Information Technology and Managed Network Services, announced that since January 2006 the company has signed nine previously unannounced contracts valued at approximately US$100 million. The contracts are a combination of exercised options on previous awards and new task orders for the U.S. Department of Defense.
