MUOS tests show extensive reach in polar communications capability

Lockheed Martin recently demonstrated that the U.S. Navy’s Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) satellites may help solve communication challenges in the arctic. During company-funded tests, MUOS voice and data signals reached much farther north than previously thought, just 50 km and 0.5 degrees of latitude shy of the North Pole.

Eutelsat to provide Afghanistan with satellite

Eutelsat Communications and the Afghanistan Ministry of Communications & Information Technology (MCIT) announced they have signed an MOU giving Afghanistan satellite resources that will enhance deployment of its national broadcasting and telecommunications infrastructure as well as its international connectivity.

Inmarsat Government reseller agreement for Inmarsat Global Xpress

Inmarsat Government announced that it has finalised its official agreement to be a Value Added Reseller (VAR) for Inmarsat Global Xpress, serving the U.S. government market. On behalf of Inmarsat and its government-market partners, Inmarsat Government will also build and maintain the secure Global Xpress offering to provide assured access supported 24/7.
