TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. has been named as the sole awardee on an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract for Military Sealift Command’s Next Generation Wideband commercial satellite communications infrastructure and service.

XTAR has been awarded a bandwidth contract from Intelsat General Corporation. The contract calls for XTAR to provide Intelsat General with 16MHz of high power X-band services from its XTAR-LANT satellite stationed over the Atlantic Ocean.

Iridium Communications Inc. said it has won three Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) contracts to upgrade the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Enhanced Mobile Satellite Service (EMSS) Gateway in Hawaii.

SES World Skies has signed a capacity agreement with Vizada Networks for telecommunications network backup across Africa’s Sub Saharan region.

Eutelsat Communications announced that Nilesat has inked a 10-year contract for five transponders at the 7 degrees West orbital position.

SES World Skies announced that Clear Channel Communications has renewed capacity deals for 144 MHz on four satellites to deliver connectivity and content to subscribers and audiences in the U.S.

Integral Systems, Inc., announced that its services organisation, Integral Systems Service Solutions (IS3), has been awarded a contract by the United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) to provide world-wide interference geolocation services.

Intelsat S.A. announced that NewWave Broadband Ltd., one of the major suppliers of maritime data services, signed a multi-transponder, multi-year contract for Ku-band capacity on two future Intelsat satellites.
