General Dynamics to deliver antennas for NOAA’s GOES-R programme

General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies received an US$80 million contract from Harris Corporation to design, manufacture and install six new 16-meter antennas and upgrade four 9-meter satellite communications antennas.

HBO to serve Latin America via Intelsat

South African space-based AIS trial declared success

exactEarth Ltd., the data services subsidiary of COM DEV International Ltd., announced that its space-based Automatic Identification System (S-AIS) data has been used successfully by the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) in an ongoing trial. The data recently contributed to security efforts associated with the 2010 FIFA World Cup tournament.

RRsat launches its fourth U.S. TV and radio platform
