Arianespace rejects Russian offer to fix seam rupture in Fregat booster

Arianespace has not accepted the offer by the Russian Lavochkin Research and Production Association to “patch up” the rupture in the pipeline that supplies helium to fuel tanks of the Fregat booster on the Soyuz-ST carrier rocket at the Guiana space centre, a source in the rocket and space industry was quoted as saying by Sputnik.

First Ariane 5 launch of 2019 successful

Rocket: Ariane 5 ECA; Payload: Saudi Geostationary Satellite 1/Hellas Sat 4, GSAT-31; Date: 5 February 2019, 2101 UTC; Launch site: Kourou, French Guiana. HS-4/SGS-1 was deployed into geostationary transfer orbit 27 minutes after lift-off, followed by GSAT-31 15 minutes later.
