Khrunichev successfully conducts test of Angara 1.2 service module

The propulsion system of the light-weight Angara 1.2 Launch Vehicle Service Module, manufactured by the Khrunichev Space Center (part of Roskosmos State Corporation), completed successful hot-fire testing at the Federal State Enterprise “Rocket & Space Industry Research & Test Center” (RSI RTC) test facility (Peresvet, Moscow Region).

Four O3b satellites arrive in Kourou ahead of March launch

Four new O3b satellites have arrived safely at the Guiana Space Centre in Kourou, French Guiana, in preparation for launch by a Soyuz vehicle in March 2018.

Ariane 5 delivers SES-14 and Al Yah 3 to orbit despite anomaly

SES and Yahsat have confirmed that SES-14 and Al Yah 3 have been acquired and are operating in orbit nominally, despite a trajectory deviation experienced during the VA241 launch. The upcoming launch campaigns currently underway at the Guiana Space Centre (CSG) proceed as scheduled.

Confusion over botched Ariane 5 launch

Rocket: Ariane 5 ECA; Payload: SES-14, Al Yah 3, Date: 25 January 2018, 2220 UTC; Launch site: Kourou, French Guyana. Arianespace confirmed that there had been an anomaly during flight, and the status of the satellites was unknown at the time of writing this.

[UPDATED] Ariane 5 launch turns out well despite telemetry glitch

Rocket: Ariane 5 ECA; Payload: SES-14, Al Yah 3, Date: 25 January 2018, 2220 UTC; Launch site: Kourou, French Guyana. Arianespace confirmed that there had been an anomaly during flight, and the status of the satellites was unknown for some time. However, contact has been established with them. It turned out that it was really just a telemetry outage.

China launches remote sensing satellites

Rocket Lab’s little secrets: kick stage and disco ball

Rocket Lab said it has successfully tested a previously unannounced kick stage on the Still Testing Electron launch vehicle, using it to circularise the orbits of the two Spire Lemur-2 CubeSats on board. Plus, there was a previously unannounced fourth satellite on board.
