China Great Wall Industry Corporation (“CGWIC”) has signed a launch services contract to launch a to its orbit.

The Sea Launch international spacecraft launch service will be modernised to be suited for launches of Soyuz-5 medium-launch carrier rocket, the director general of Russia’s Roskosmos state space corporation, Igor Komarov, was quoted as saying.

The 10th Vega mission from French Guiana has been authorised for lift-off following completion of its launch readiness review. The mission, designated VV10 in Arianespace’s numbering system, will mark Arianespace’s eighth mission in 2017, and is the company’s second this year using a Vega launcher.

Iridium Communications Inc. announced that the upcoming Iridium NEXT launch has been targeted for 30 September 2017 at 1330 UTC.

Iran said it successfully tested a satellite-launch rocket. The vehicle, named Simorgh (“Phoenix”), was capable of propelling a satellite with a mass of 250 kg into a 500-kilometres orbit.

NASA has provided Boeing concurrence to remove and replace the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite’s (TDRS-M) Omni S-band forward antenna.
