Roskosmos, in co-operation with the state bodies of Kazakhstan, has taken additional precautions intended to minimise negative consequences of launches from the Baikonur space centre that Russia leases from Kazakhstan, the agency’s press service said.

The launch of a Falcon 9 with Intelsat 35e aboard from Kennedy Space Center was scrubbed again on 3 July. SpaceX said the abort was “due to a violation of abort criteria” but did not elaborate.

SpaceX called off the launch of Intelsat 35e from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center (KSC) 10 seconds before lift-off on 2 July owing to to a technical issue with the Falcon 9 rocket.

Russian space manufacturer Energomash has sent to its U.S. contractor four RD-180 rocket engines that run on United Launch Alliance-built Atlas 5 rockets, the Russian company said.
