Successful flight testing of ISRO’s scramjet engine

The first experimental mission of ISRO’s scramjet engine towards the realisation of an air breathing propulsion system was successfully conducted on 28 August 2016 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Sriharikota. Thus, India became the fourth country to demonstrate the flight testing of a scramjet engine.

SpaceX Dragon splashes down

SpaceX’s Dragon cargo spacecraft splashed down in the Pacific Ocean at 1547 UTC on 26 August southwest of Baja California with more than 1,350 kg of NASA cargo, science and technology demonstration samples from the International Space Station.

NASA’s Mars 2020 rover to fly Atlas V

NASA has selected United Launch Services to provide launch services for the Mars 2020 mission, currently targeted for launch in July 2020 aboard an Atlas V 541 rocket from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.
